To launch the Oddli Bloomers and to host our very first event in the DTLA Oddli office, we built tables with hand-painted cinder blocks and hand-cut wood tables, hung tomatoes from the ceiling, and spoke about moving to LA to start the brand without knowing anyone. As for the bloomers we debuted, ten people in LA worked on making each pair for multiple hours per piece. Jensen handwrote the alphabet that became the font for the embroidery & we got to wear and play in them.

It’s funny looking back on this event as now this office has turned into a full warehouse of product, but at the time it was a completely empty, blank canvas to imagine the community we wanted Oddli to become.
